In a cozy café in Southern Italy, our story began over 35 years ago. Here, Angelo Viscusi, a keen young salesman, found his calling amidst the daily parade of marble trucks and the wisdom of local elders, who could identify each stone type at a glance.

We're proud to look back on one of our favorite projects - the Egyptian Embassy in Berlin. Completed in 2008, this project is a true showcase of the versatility and beauty of natural stone. The embassy building's facade is adorned with Capao Bonito, a beautiful Brazilian granite, while the interior boasts Cashmere White and Azul Macaubas, both of which are high-quality natural stones from India and Brazil, respectively.
The Egyptian Embassy project presented us with some unique challenges, such as the need to create a ventilated curtain wall with undercut anchors. Our expert team was up to the task, bringing their skills and experience to bear to ensure that the final result was not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing.
One of the most exciting aspects of the project was the interior finishing. Using old Egyptian drawings as inspiration, we were able to create stunning inlays in the wall cladding, bringing a touch of ancient Egyptian elegance to the embassy's modern design. The combination of the beautiful natural stones, intricate inlays, and modern design elements truly makes this project stand out.
We're thrilled with the final result and grateful for the opportunity to work on such a unique and high-profile project. As the official natural stone contractor, we'll be using Turkish Rosa Tea Marble to create a beautiful and intricate interior staircase and wall cladding. We'll be using false joints to give the illusion of smaller, different triangles. False joints, are a design technique used in stonework where the joints are cut directtly into the stone slabs to create the appearance of smaller blocks. At Stones & Rocks, we were privileged to furnish the base facade cladding with the finest travertine and the interior natural stone works with the opulent Crema Luna.
